How To Get Rid of Slugs
I have to say the first year we had our home garden I was a little stunned to find damage all over my garden but couldn’t seem to find the culprits. It didn’t take long, through the help from a gardening friend Judy I found out that slugs were guilty. This year I am ready for them.
She told me I could go out after dark and pick them off one at a time.
Here are a few more tips to help get rid of slugs. These are home garden tips I have learned from others since I started our home garden.
Some Beer, A Small Container And Dead Slugs – Maybe you weren’t aware but slugs like beer as much as people do. Take any small container like margarine containers then put some beera little of the wonder juice (beer) in the container and make it easy for them to get to.
Keep the top of the tuna can flush with the ground.
I saw a video on Youtube by a gardener named John. He heard that using a small container with beer in it would attach and drown slugs.
I didn’t think of that last year I could have saved some of my garden plants. Here is the video that I watched from John:

Keep Those Egg Shells To Cut Down On Slugs
Slugs don’t like to travel over things that are too dry or sharp things like stones or egg shells or dried mulch. So save up those egg shells and crush them up and put them on your plants where slugs travel.

Janice Stillman has a great tip on Youtube for getting rid of slugs. She looks like she has a bit of fun with this method.

These tips for getting rid of slugs use no chemicals and are safe, however getting slugs drunk is kind of bizarre, enjoy a slug free garden.
